1. Cash Drawer is connected to the Docket/receipt printer.
99% of the cash drawers listed on our site are connected to and fired from a Receipt printer. This type of a connection looks like a telephone plug. This type of connection is the norm for most POS applications including MYOB retail manager, Quickbooks POS, Kounta, Timely etc.
2. Cash Drawer is connected directly to the Computer.
Some older setups, require the drawer to be connected directly to a PC. To do this, you will need to purchase a USB Cash drawer trigger and then setup the trigger as a COM/Serial port on your PC. Once this is setup correctly, you can connect your standard drawer to the trigger and let your POS software open the drawer via COM port.
