Epson Receipt Printer Support

DO NOT CONNECT YOUR PRINTER before reading this!!!

Windows Setup:

Restart your Computer
Unpack the printer
Install Paper
Connect to Power supply and switch on power.
DO NOT CONNECT TO PC.
Insert the CD provided in the box (or download) and run the APD Setup Program. 
Complete the Advanced Driver Installation and follow the prompts on the screen.
Once complete, go ahead and connect your USB cable from the Printer to the Computer
The Computer will recognise the printer and install it.
You are now ready to use your Receipt Printer!

Cash Drawer Setup: If you are using a Cash Drawer with your printer, follow the instructions below:
Connect the Cash Drawer to the back of the printer. 
There is a dedicated connection for it named DK.
Once you have connected the Cash Drawer, watch the Video Below for setup:

Common Problems and Fixes:

Q: My printer was not detected by my Computer.
Please unplug your printer from the computer.
Restart your computer.
Ensure you have installed the driver as described above
Go ahead and connect your printer using a DIFFERENT USB port on your Computer
This should fix the issue

Q: My receipts are printing but there is no Visible Text on the receipt
Please check you are using Thermal Paper with this printer
Remove the paper roll and reverse it.  Thermal Paper only prints from ONE side, not both
Try a Fresh Roll of paper.


Q: I am using an old Version of MYOB Retail Manager or Retail Basics.  How do I setup?
After completing the setup process above
You will need to install the Epson Virtual COM driver for this printer
Once Installed, you can then contact MYOB support and they will setup MYOB for you.
